Founded as a small-scale, one-person local cleanout operation in the 1960s, Richard S. Burns is now Delaware Valley's only complete recycling and waste recovery facility. Our Thirteen-acre recovery compound has the potential to handle more than 1,500 tons of waste and materials each day.
In our over four decades of experience, we have grown by innovating and adapting. Much before the advent of green technology, we introduced the recycling and recovery of waste and materials. As our customer's requirements grew, we developed techniques and products to cater to those requirements.
With the escalating emphasis on recycling and sustainability, Burns takes immense pride in offering innovative and reasonable-priced products and solutions. We provide:
We offer a wide variety of dumpsters and containers in 30, 20, and 10 cubic yard sizes. Plus, we can cater to special job needs, whether you have excessive volume requirements or challenging site conditions.
The Tommy Carts available at Burns are the perfect solution for loading out debris at any job site. They are not just easy and safe to maneuver, their crisp, clean looks help in maintaining a professional work environment. The Tommy Carts also have a floor lock to prevent movement during loading and are seam-welded to preempt leakages.
At our recycling facility, we recycle various materials, including clean fill, clean plasterboard, clean wood, construction demolition waste. For your convenience, our recycling facility is open six days a week.
A natural outcome of our massive recycling efforts is a huge supply of recovered and ready-to-use materials products, including ferrous (Iron) and non-ferrous metals (aluminum, brass, copper), cardboard, wallboard, hardfill materials (block, brick, concrete, and tile), plastic, glass, porcelain, and wood.
Along with these recycled products, we have also developed some of our own products, such as Barrier, which is our patented cover product for landfill use. It is made with non-recyclable construction and demolition materials. Barrier has been tested, approved, and used in landfills for over a decade.
